Lesson Policy

All students must have a parent/guardian present and maintain a distraction-free environment during all lessons–no exceptions.

All lesson time slots will be held in the Lebanon Memorial United Methodist Church Monday - Friday starting at 4:00pm and ending no later than 6:00pm. Alternative arrangements may be arranged depending on circumstances.

Any upcoming lessons must be booked and paid in full at least 7 days prior to the lesson. Any lesson packages must be booked and paid in full at least 7 days prior to the first lesson. Subsequent lessons purchased in a lesson package will be scheduled following the first lesson attended. Lessons may not be booked without payment. 

Any and all payments are final and must be made either by cash or check paid to Jonathan Griffin. No electronic forms of payment will be accepted at this time. In the event that a check bounces, the booked lesson will be frozen until payment is corrected.

No refunds will be permitted.

Only check payments may be mailed, if necessary, to the address listed below. If a check is mailed, please allow 3-5 business days for the payment to be received.

Once a time slot has been selected and booked, an electronic receipt and invoice will be emailed to you. A physical copy of the invoice will be kept on file to sign immediately following each lesson to verify that the lesson has been conducted.

Any lessons needing to be rescheduled must be expressed no less than 48 hours prior to the lesson. Lesson reschedule requests within 48 hours prior to the lesson will be postponed with partial payment credit added to the rescheduled lesson. An additional payment may be required. Lesson reschedule requests within 24 hours prior to the lesson will be cancelled without postponement and no attempt to make up the lesson will be made.

Piano students only: though not mandatory, it is highly recommended that all students have access to a keyboard or piano at home. Keyboards are recommended to have all 88 keys available, weighted keys, and a sustain pedal. Mr. Griffin can help each family select an affordable option that fits this criteria.

All Students must bring their lesson books or other provided materials to each and every lesson. This will serve as their practice material both inside and outside of lessons to ensure student success. It is highly recommended that each student have a folder or binder to place any loose leaf paper materials provided to them by Mr. Griffin so they don't get lost.

It is expected that the family ensures any “homework” is completed and that practice occurs at home prior to lessons. Recommended at least 3-5 hours of practice a week.
