Overview
Piano lessons are available for all ages, though it is recommended for students age 5 or older. Though the main focus of Mr. Griffin's studio is to establish the love of playing piano with absolute beginners, any skill level is welcomed! Mr. Griffin will work with each student to determine the best learning path for them and their desired focus (ex: classical, jazz, contemporary, playing by ear, etc.).
For now, all lessons will be conducted in person at Lebanon Memorial United Methodist Church located in Lebanon, VA. Lessons are typically 30-minutes or 45-minutes and will typically consist of the following:
Warm up
Technique or Literacy Review
Student Demonstration of Assigned Material
New Concept or ReinforcementÂ
Something Fun!
"Homework" Assignment
Lessons can be as frequent as the student or family would like. However, it is recommended that students have one lesson every week or two weeks. Any length of time longer than this could lead to the formation of bad habits that become very difficult to break and could lead to student frustration or loss of interest.

One-Time Preview Lesson

If you've never booked a lesson with Mr. Griffin before, you are entitled to a one-time only $20.00 preview lesson and consultation. This allows you and your child to decide if piano lessons are a good fit as well as aid Mr. Griffin in deciding how to structure lessons to best fit your child's needs. Continued lessons will be priced according to the packages below:
